Barlean's Flax Oil is 100% vegan and contains only organic, non-GMO ingredients. Lignans are fiber solids from the hull of flaxseeds, and they are powerful plant polyphenols (think green tea and red wine). This antioxidant-rich substance may promote heart and circulatory health and support healthy joints. Lignan flaxseed oil is unfiltered and contains particles of the whole seed, and they like to settle at the bottom of the bottle. This oil can range in color from gold or amber to dark brown.
Suggested use: Take 1–2 Tbsp daily. Simply enjoy right off the spoon or mix into salad dressings, yogurt, oatmeal or smoothies. Not suitable for cooking. Also available without lignan in our red-labeled variety that has a milder flavor.
